Using your Letchworth driving test centre routes will enable you to recreate and practice manoeuvres you've learnt in your driving lessons. All our routes are currently in use by ADI's (Approved Driving Instructors) on a daily basis in your local area.
We supply a number of different route formats including Google Earth, GPSeXhange, Android, iPhone, TomTom, CoPilot and a number of other SatNav formats. You'll still need an Approved Driving Instructor to teach you how to drive.
The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) practical driving test is designed to test your ability to control the vehicle and to ensure what you have learnt over your lessons has stuck with you.

The Letchworth independent driving test consists of about 10 minutes where the driver will be asked to follow road signs to a destination given by the examiner, the candidate may be shown a diagram with a series of directions, or a combination of both. It doesn't matter if candidates don't remember every direction, or if they go the wrong way - that can happen to the most experienced drivers. The rest of the test is the same.
Independent Driving Test
The new driving test has two major changes from the 'old' / previous practical test. The first change is that you are only be required to carry out one driving manoeuvre instead of the previous requirement for two manoeuvres. This is to allow more time for the new INDEPENDENT DRIVING part of the test which is the 2nd and most significant change.
Letchworth is a busy area so expect to be driving on dual carriage ways and busy roads. Using test routes whilst learning to drive can be very helpful, allowing you to practise on roads that you'll actually be driving during your test.
